About this product

The Ultra Encode SDI is the SDI sister to the Ultra Encode HDMI — a standalone hardware encoder that bridges 3G-SDI sources into IP distribution networks without any host PC. Active SDI loop-through keeps the downstream broadcast chain running while encoding.

For broadcast and live-production facilities migrating from SDI to IP-based delivery, this is the bridge between legacy camera infrastructure and modern streaming workflows. SDI cameras stay in place; the Ultra Encode SDI sits at the camera position or in the equipment rack and encodes the feed for RTMP, RTSP, SRT or NDI|HX distribution.

Common deployments include broadcast venues streaming SDI camera feeds to remote viewing platforms, sports productions streaming to OTT services, and corporate broadcast facilities pushing SDI-based programme output to internal streaming systems.
