Magewell Pro Convert for NDI to SDI
The Pro Convert for NDI to SDI decodes Full NDI, NDI|HX, SRT, RTSP, RTMP, UDP, RTP and HLS up to 2048×1080 at 60fps for output via a 3Gbps SDI interface.
Magewell Pro Convert for NDI to SDI device will make it easier to use NewTek’s NDI protocol for presentation and delivery applications including digital signage and video walls, as well as multi-site video distribution and long-distance media transport. The Pro Convert for NDI to SDI supports DHCP network configuration and uses EDID metadata to detect display characteristics. The decoder can be controlled via browser, keyboard-and-mouse, or two hardware buttons on the device itself that overly a menu on the SDI output.
The device can be powered via an included USB power adapter or over PoE using the RJ45 port. The Magewell Pro Convert for NDI to SDI also offers a companion Web UI which allows web configuration from a wide variety of web browsers, such as the device name, source name, NDI and EDID identifiers, and other settings. The device features a 1/4″-20 thread for camera mounting and can be used in the studio or in the field thanks to a compact and durable design equipment configuration menu.
Interface
The Pro Convert for NDI to SDI enables users can control advanced settings, select between NDI source streams and monitor the status of the decoder through a browser-based interface; wired or wireless keyboard or mouse; or using two on-device buttons that overlay an intuitive menu on the SDI output. The device supports eight channels of audio in the NDI stream, with user control of audio gain, sample rate, channel selection and on-screen VU metering. Additional convenience and integration settings include image flip for inverted projector installations; safe area controls for ensuring the display of important content; and remote control of PTZ source cameras.
