About this product

The Pro Convert 12G SDI 4K Plus is the top-end SDI to NDI encoder — 12G-SDI input at the full 4K60 (the current professional broadcast standard) encoded to full-bandwidth NDI in real time. Active loop-through preserves the SDI chain.

For the most demanding 4K NDI workflows this is the encoder we recommend. Broadcast cameras outputting 12G-SDI 4K60 are encoded at full bandwidth and full frame rate — nothing is dropped to fit. The wider single-link bandwidth of 12G simplifies cabling versus older quad-link 3G-SDI 4K workflows (one cable instead of four).

Backward compatibility with 6G, 3G, HD and SD-SDI is built in, so the device adapts to whatever signal a camera delivers. Standalone PoE-powered appliance, managed via web UI or Magewell Control Hub.
