We are pleased to announce Magewell has released firmware V1.3.24 for three Pro Convert decoders and two Modator modules, adding major security upgrades, protocol improvements, and multiple bug fixes.

This update introduces significant improvements in device security, stability, and protocol support.
Key Enhancements:
New restart mechanism for improved device robustness
Login API retry limits
Encrypted password storage with automatic migration
Strengthened file‑upload validation
Password APIs now fully supported via POST
Closure of unused internal test ports
DNS‑SD support for Bonjour discovery
Automatic NTP clock sync + configurable NTP server
RTMPS protocol support
Support for “?” and “/” in RTMP Pull keys
SRT upgraded to version 1.5.6 (fixes CVE‑2026‑55869 & CVE‑2026‑55868)
Public IP retrieval
“Reset source after reboot” option
Multiple bug fixes across video output, pixel conversion, resolution lists, and SDI audio stability
YUV 4:2:2 output added for AIO Module
Important Notes:
Downgrading from V1.3 resets the admin password and deletes all non‑admin accounts
NDI HX1 discovery is not supported in this version
