We are writing to inform you of a minor design modification made to the following two modules of the Modator family:
Ultra Encode HDMI Plus Module (SKU: B31510000)
Ultra Encode SDI Plus Module (SKU: B31610000)
Background
The image below illustrates the panel of these two modules. The original size of the RJ45 Ethernet port may pose a risk that certain specific Ethernet cables could detach from the port.
Solution
This update resizes the RJ45 Ethernet port on the panel to ensure a more secure locking for all Ethernet cables.
Modules with the updated panel begin shipping from June 2026. For all units shipped prior to this date, we offer a 1:1 replacement or repair service. You can identify affected units by checking the product serial number as follows:
Ultra Encode HDMI Plus Module (example S/N: Z315250604039): the 5th to 8th digits are "2506" or lower
Ultra Encode SDI Plus Module (example S/N: Z316260416035): the 5th to 8th digits are "2604" or lower
