The Pro Capture Dual DVI is two Pro Capture DVI engines on one PCIe x4 card. Each channel accepts DVI-I, HDMI, VGA, YPbPr Component, CVBS composite or S-Video independently, allowing two completely different source types to be captured simultaneously.
This is the card we recommend for dual-source rooms in lecture-capture and corporate AV — the typical install is one channel capturing the room camera (often modern HDMI) and the second capturing whatever the lectern presents (often a mix of VGA and HDMI laptops). Both channels appear as separate video devices to the recording software.
The FPGA per channel means mixed-format input has no penalty — an HDMI laptop on one channel and a VGA visualiser on the other behave exactly the same as two HDMI cameras would.

The Pro Capture Dual DVI uses a Full-height PCIe x4 slot. It will also fit in larger PCIe slots (x8, x16) as PCIe is backward compatible, but will run at the card's native lane width.
The Pro Capture Dual DVI is a capture card. Simultaneous playback (loop-through) depends on the specific model — check the Loop-Through spec in the full specification table. ForeFront Imaging can advise if you need simultaneous I/O.
