The Pro Capture Mini SDI is the SDI sister to the Mini HDMI — a full broadcast-grade 3G/HD/SD-SDI capture engine with active loop-through on a mini PCIe card. Same broadcast-grade FPGA pipeline as the full-size cards, in the form factor that fits compact industrial computers.
The active loop-through is the standout feature compared to most embedded SDI options — it keeps the downstream SDI chain alive while capture runs, which is essential in broadcast and OB-truck workflows where the captured signal also needs to reach a monitor or downstream equipment.
We see this card most often in compact streaming encoders mounted directly at camera positions on fly-pack production rigs, in OB-truck workstations where chassis space is at a premium, and in scientific or industrial imaging computers that need professional SDI ingest.
