All-in-one. The Ultra Encode AIO has both HDMI 4K60 input and 3G-SDI input on the same chassis. Use one, the other, or both depending on what is connected.
The same source can be streamed to RTMP (YouTube, Facebook), RTMPS, RTSP, SRT (low-latency contribution), and NDI|HX (for vMix, OBS, TriCaster) simultaneously. Different platforms can have different bitrates and encoding parameters configured independently.
A software encoder running on a PC ties the encoder to that machine. The PC must be on, drivers must be up to date, the encoding software must not crash. Standalone hardware boots and streams. Schools and houses of worship in particular value this stability for unattended weekly operation.
The HDMI input handles up to 4K at 60fps. The SDI input handles 3G-SDI up to 1080p60. This pairing suits venues with a mix of modern HDMI (computers, gaming consoles) and broadcast cameras with SDI output.
The AIO is the dual-input device. The Plus variants are single-input units (HDMI or SDI) that add XLR audio I/O for professional analogue audio infrastructure. If you need balanced audio, the Plus models are the better fit; if you need flexible video input, AIO.
