About this product

The Magewell Pro Capture HDMI is the starting point for most production capture builds. It takes a single HDMI source and delivers it to your host PC as a clean, low-latency video feed, ready for live production software, broadcast encoding, or direct recording.

The FPGA on the card handles all signal processing in hardware. The card also accepts CVBS composite, S-Video, and YPbPr component video through an internal analogue header. Low-profile PCIe x1 fits 1U rack servers. Rated for 24/7 continuous operation.

The Pro Capture HDMI uses a Low-profile PCIe x1 slot. It will also fit in larger PCIe slots (x8, x16) as PCIe is backward compatible, but will run at the card's native lane width.

The Pro Capture HDMI is a capture card. Simultaneous playback (loop-through) depends on the specific model — check the Loop-Through spec in the full specification table. ForeFront Imaging can advise if you need simultaneous I/O.

The Pro Capture HDMI works with any software that supports DirectShow (Windows), V4L2 (Linux), or AVCaptureSession (macOS), including OBS Studio, vMix, Wirecast, Capture One, XSplit and most broadcast NLE software. Magewell's free Capture Express software is also available.

The Pro Capture HDMI accepts 1x HDMI + analogue header (CVBS, S-Video, YPbPr).

The Pro Capture HDMI captures at up to 2048x2160.
