Single-channel 4K60 HDMI capture on M.2 with MCC breakout connector.
Ask us a quick question about this product — signal compatibility, use case fit, or anything technical. We usually reply the same day.
The Eco Capture HDMI 4K Plus M.2 captures 4K HDMI at the full 60 frames per second — the format that 4K HDMI 2.0 sources output natively. It is the step up from the Eco Capture HDMI 4K M.2 when 30fps is not enough.
Because a standard HDMI Type A connector is physically larger than an M.2 card, the HDMI socket is delivered on an MCC breakout cable that plugs into the card and routes the connector out to a chassis bracket. This is the standard arrangement on every M.2 video card in the industry and works reliably with any HDMI source.
Typical applications include compact 4K production builds for broadcast and live events, embedded medical 4K recorders where the surgical camera outputs HDMI 2.0, and high-resolution industrial imaging in chassis too small for a full PCIe card. The same FPGA pipeline as the full-size Pro Capture HDMI 4K Plus means frame timing and colour handling are unchanged in the smaller form factor.

The Eco Capture HDMI 4K Plus M.2 uses an M.2 slot. Check your motherboard manual for available M.2 slots — Eco Capture M.2 cards use the PCIe lanes on the M.2 connector, not SATA, so the slot must support M.2 PCIe.
Yes. Download the Magewell Eco Capture driver from Magewell's website (free). It supports Windows 10/11 and recent Linux kernels. macOS is not currently supported for Eco Capture M.2 cards.
The Eco Capture HDMI 4K Plus M.2 accepts 1x HDMI 2.0 via MCC breakout.
Yes, multiple Eco Capture M.2 cards can be installed in the same system provided there are available M.2 PCIe slots. Each card is independently addressable.
The Eco Capture HDMI 4K Plus M.2 works with DirectShow (Windows) and V4L2 (Linux) compatible software, including OBS Studio, vMix, Wirecast and Magewell Capture Express.
