Do Magewell USB Capture devices require driver installation? ▼
No. All Magewell USB Capture devices are UVC-compliant and are recognised natively by Windows, macOS and Linux without any driver installation. Plug in the device and it immediately appears as a webcam or capture device in any application.
What software is compatible with Magewell capture cards? ▼
Magewell products are compatible with virtually all professional video software, including OBS Studio, vMix, Wirecast, XSplit, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Skype, Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, and any software accepting a standard webcam input.
Do you offer trade accounts and credit terms? ▼
Yes. We offer trade accounts to UK businesses with structured pricing and, for established accounts, credit payment terms. Contact us with your company details and we will set up your account typically within one working day.
What is the warranty on Magewell products? ▼
All Magewell hardware sold through ForeFront Imaging carries a 2-3 year manufacturer warranty (model dependent). In the event of a fault, contact us first. We manage the warranty return process with Magewell on your behalf.
What is the difference between USB Capture Gen 2 and USB Capture Plus? ▼
The Gen 2 range are compact USB dongle devices with a single input. The Plus range adds a zero-latency loop-through output and integrated 3.5mm audio jacks. 4K Plus and 4K Pro models add 4K/60fps capability with HDMI 2.0 input.
How do Pro Convert NDI devices work? ▼
Pro Convert TX devices are standalone hardware boxes that take a physical HDMI or SDI input and encode it as an NDI stream over Ethernet. Decoder models (NDI to HDMI, NDI to SDI etc.) do the reverse. Fully compatible with all NDI-enabled software and hardware on the same network.
What is your returns policy? ▼
We operate a 30-day returns policy on Magewell products purchased from ForeFront Imaging, subject to goods being returned in original condition and packaging. Contact us before returning any goods to obtain an RMA number.
Do you ship outside the UK? ▼
