Capture (Host PC Required)

USB Capture is the external range: HDMI or SDI in, USB out, powered from the USB port, with driver-free installation. It runs from the entry HDMI Gen 2, for 1080p at 60 fps, up to the SDI 4K Pro, for 12G-SDI and 4K at 60 fps. Pro Capture is the PCIe range for permanent installation in workstations and ingest servers. It has more than twenty cards, including dual and quad-channel models. Eco Capture puts capture on an M.2 card for embedded systems and compact PCs.

Encoders (No PC Needed)

Ultra Stream is the simple streaming and recording encoder for a single source. Ultra Encode is the more capable family: H.264 and H.265 over RTMP, SRT and NDI HX2, to several destinations at once. Pro Convert NDI encoders turn HDMI or SDI into NDI High Bandwidth for AV-over-IP and live production.

Decoders

Pro Convert NDI decoders turn NDI and other IP streams back into HDMI or SDI. The IP to USB decoder presents an NDI or IP stream to a computer as a USB camera, so Zoom Rooms or Microsoft Teams can use it like a webcam.

Rack Infrastructure

The Modator 2U chassis holds up to ten hot-swappable encoder or decoder modules in 2U of rack space, with dual hot-swappable power supplies. The modules are rack versions of Pro Convert and Ultra Encode devices. That replaces a shelf of standalone boxes, and an adapter per device, with one chassis.

Live Production

The Director family is all-in-one production: switching, graphics, recording and streaming in a portable unit with a built-in touchscreen. Director Mini has a 5.44-inch screen, and Director One and Director Plus have 7-inch screens. The Plus is the 4K model with four HDMI inputs.

Management Software

Control Hub manages Magewell IP devices from one browser dashboard. It covers Ultra Stream and Ultra Encode encoders, Pro Convert encoders and decoders, Modator chassis and modules, USB Fusion and the Director family. There are four editions, for 20 to 150 devices. Basic, Plus and Pro are perpetual licences and add stream conversion.
