Magewell Pro Capture PCIe cards
The Pro Capture range of PCIe cards, section by section: HDMI, SDI, all-in-one, DVI and analogue, from single-channel cards to multi-input 4K models.
Watch on YouTubeA camera on HDMI and a computer on VGA, recorded together, usually means two cards or a box of converters. The Pro Capture Dual DVI does it in one slot. It is aimed at lecture rooms, control rooms and system builders who have to deal with digital and analogue equipment side by side. It is a two-channel HD PCIe capture card with two DVI-I sockets (the DVI type that carries both digital and analogue signals), and each one can take a DVI, HDMI, VGA or component source.
Fit the card, connect the source with the right adapter and install Magewell’s driver. Software sees the card through the standard capture interfaces of the operating system: DirectShow on Windows, V4L2 on Linux and AVCaptureSession on macOS. That lets you carry on with the software you know: it works with VLC, OBS, XSplit, vMix, VidBlaster and Wirecast among others. Supported systems are Windows 10, 11 and Server 2016 to 2025, Linux with kernel 2.6.35 or later, and Mac OS X 10.9 or later.
If you have only one source, the single-channel Pro Capture DVI is a low-profile PCIe x1 card and adds a 3.5 mm analogue audio input. For composite video, see the Pro Capture Hexa CVBS. All the cards are on the Pro Capture range page.

DVI, HDMI, VGA and component on each of the two inputs, so digital and analogue sources share one card. For composite (CVBS) sources, choose the Pro Capture Hexa CVBS.
Yes. It is a two-channel card, so the two DVI-I inputs are captured at once and can carry different signal types. Each individual input captures one source at a time.
With the supplied accessories: two DVI-I to HDMI + component breakout cables and two DVI to VGA connectors, one of each per input. There is nothing extra to buy.
It captures audio embedded in an HDMI signal, along with the picture. For VGA, DVI or component sources that need sound, the single-channel Pro Capture DVI adds a 3.5 mm analogue audio input.
2048×2160 pixels for input and capture, with about 80 frames per second as the maximum at 1920×1080.
A full-height PCI Express x4 slot (PCIe Gen2 x4) or larger. It is a normal-profile card, 115.9 × 91.29 mm without the bracket. For a low-profile chassis, see the single-channel Pro Capture DVI.
Windows 10, 11 and Server 2016 to 2025, Linux (kernel 2.6.35 and above) and Mac OS X 10.9 or later, through DirectShow, V4L2 and AVCaptureSession, so standard capture software sees the card.
