Magewell Pro Capture PCIe cards
The Pro Capture range of PCIe cards, section by section: HDMI, SDI, all-in-one, DVI and analogue, from single-channel cards to multi-input 4K models.
Watch on YouTubeA meeting room PC or recording system rarely gets to choose its source. One day it is an HDMI laptop, the next a VGA machine or a piece of equipment with component outputs. The Pro Capture DVI takes any of them through one socket, which saves you fitting a card for each. It is a one-channel HD PCIe capture card whose single DVI-I socket (the DVI type that carries both digital and analogue signals) accepts a DVI, HDMI, VGA or component source, with a separate 3.5 mm jack for analogue audio.
Fit the card, connect the source with the right adapter and install Magewell’s driver. Software sees the card through the standard capture interfaces of the operating system: DirectShow on Windows, V4L2 on Linux and AVCaptureSession on macOS. That lets you keep the software you know: it works with VLC, OBS, XSplit, vMix, VidBlaster and Wirecast among others. Supported systems are Windows 10, 11 and Server 2016 to 2025, Linux with kernel 2.6.35 or later, and Mac OS X 10.9 or later.
For two sources of this kind in one slot, see the Pro Capture Dual DVI, which is a full-height PCIe x4 card. For composite video, see the Pro Capture Hexa CVBS. All the cards are on the Pro Capture range page.

DVI, HDMI, VGA and component, all through its DVI-I socket, so one card covers digital and analogue sources. For composite (CVBS) sources, choose the Pro Capture Hexa CVBS.
It is a one-channel card and captures one source at a time through its single DVI-I socket. For two sources together, choose the Pro Capture Dual DVI.
With the supplied accessories: a DVI-I to HDMI + component breakout cable for HDMI and component, and a DVI to VGA connector for VGA. There is nothing extra to buy.
Yes. It has a 3.5 mm line-in jack for analogue audio and captures audio embedded in an HDMI signal.
2048×2160 pixels for input and capture, with about 80 frames per second as the maximum at 1920×1080.
A PCI Express x1 slot (PCIe Gen2 x1). The card is low profile, 92.76 × 68.88 mm without the bracket, and a low-profile bracket is supplied, so it suits slim cases.
