Pro Convert HDMI 4K Plus setup guide
Put an HDMI source on your network as full NDI: the three cables, finding and naming it, picking it up in OBS, vMix or a Magewell decoder, planning bandwidth with multicast, and the options for sending it off-site.

HDMI to full NDI at up to 4K 60 fps, with HDMI loop-through to keep a local screen running. A standalone encoder, no computer needed.
Watch on YouTubeWhen the camera, media player or presentation PC is in one room and the production desk is in another, the network is a convenient way to join them. The Pro Convert HDMI 4K Plus is an HDMI to NDI converter for exactly that: it takes one HDMI source, up to 4K at 60 frames per second, and puts it on your network as an NDI stream. NDI is a way of sending live video between devices and software over an ordinary Ethernet network. The box is a standalone NDI encoder that works on its own, with no computer, and passes the HDMI signal on to a local monitor at the same time.
This is the 4K model of the HDMI encoders. The Pro Convert HDMI Plus also accepts a 4K input and has loop-through, with an HDMI 1.4 input and encoding up to 2048×2160. The Pro Convert HDMI TX is the smaller model, a single-input encoder for sources up to 2048×1200. For SDI sources at 4K 60 fps see the Pro Convert 12G SDI 4K Plus. All models are on the Pro Convert encoders page.

No computer is needed. It is a standalone encoder: connect the source and the network and it appears as an NDI source. Settings are changed from a browser through the Web UI.
The HDMI input and loop-through accept up to 4096×2160 at 60 fps, 4:4:4 8-bit. The NDI stream is encoded at up to 4096×2160 at 60 fps, 4:2:2 8-bit, or up to 1920×1080 at 240 fps.
4:2:2 8-bit. The HDMI input and loop-through handle 4:4:4, so a local monitor on the loop-through receives the full signal.
NDI High Bandwidth, with NDI 6.3 support. For NDI HX, SRT, RTMP, RTSP, HLS, H.264 or H.265, see the Ultra Encode range.
By standard PoE (IEEE 802.3af) through the network cable, or by 5 V through its USB Type-B port from the supplied 5 V / 2.1 A adaptor. It draws about 10 W at most, so standard PoE is all it needs.
The encoder, a USB 2.0 Type-A to Type-B cable, a 5 V / 2.1 A power adaptor, a Mini-DIN 8 breakout cable, a tally light and an L-bracket, so power, tally and mounting are covered.
Yes. PTZ camera control works through NDI using VISCA, VISCA over UDP, PELCO-P and PELCO-D, so the camera can be steered from the NDI system.
