Magewell Pro Convert family
NDI encoders, NDI decoders, IP and multiview decoders and AES67 audio converters: getting video and audio onto the network and off again, with no computer at either end.
Watch on YouTubeFor HD productions built on NDI, the Pro Convert HDMI Plus is the way to bring in an HDMI camera or a presentation laptop without running long HDMI cables. It takes one HDMI source and puts it on your network as an NDI stream. NDI is a way of sending live video between devices and software over an ordinary Ethernet network. The box is a standalone HDMI to NDI converter that works on its own, with no computer, and passes the HDMI signal on to a local monitor at the same time. It converts an HDMI signal into Full NDI for HD production, and its input is happy with a 4K source too.
If you need the NDI stream itself to be 4K, the Pro Convert HDMI 4K Plus has an HDMI 2.0 input and encodes up to 4096×2160 at 60 fps. The Pro Convert HDMI TX is the smaller model, a single-input encoder for sources up to 2048×1200. All models are on the Pro Convert encoders page.

No computer is needed. It is a standalone encoder: connect the source and the network and it appears as an NDI source. Settings are changed from a browser through the Web UI.
The HDMI 1.4 input and loop-through accept up to 4096×2160, at 30 fps with 4:4:4 or 4:2:2 or at 60 fps with 4:2:0. NDI encoding goes up to 2048×2160 at 120 fps, 4:2:2 8-bit, with typical outputs of 1080p up to 60 fps.
The Pro Convert HDMI 4K Plus. The HDMI Plus accepts a 4K source and passes it to the loop-through, and encodes NDI at up to 2048×2160.
NDI High Bandwidth, with NDI 6.2 support. For NDI HX, SRT, RTMP, RTSP, HLS, H.264 or H.265, see the Ultra Encode range.
By standard PoE (IEEE 802.3af) through the network cable, or by 5 V through its USB Type-B port from the supplied 5 V / 2.1 A adaptor. It draws about 8 W at most, so standard PoE is all it needs.
The encoder, a USB 2.0 Type-A to Type-B cable, a 5 V / 2.1 A power adaptor, a Mini-DIN 8 breakout cable, a tally light and an L-bracket, so power, tally and mounting are covered.
Yes. PTZ camera control works through NDI using VISCA, VISCA over UDP, PELCO-P and PELCO-D, so the camera can be steered from the NDI system.
