Plug-and-play HDMI, SDI, DVI and 4K capture over USB. Your computer sees the device as a webcam, so it works in OBS, vMix, Zoom, Teams and other software with no drivers to install.
Watch on YouTubeWhen the source is a 4K camera, laptop or media player and the room display has to stay at full quality, you need a capture device that does not force everything down to HD. The USB Capture HDMI 4K Plus is a 4K HDMI to USB capture device. It takes one HDMI signal, up to 4K at 60 frames per second, and passes it to a computer over USB so streaming, recording or conferencing software can use it as a video source. Its HDMI loop-through keeps the display fed, and a microphone input and headphone output are built in.
The HDMI input and the loop-through both handle up to 4096×2160 at 60 frames per second in full 4:4:4 colour. Capture to the computer at 4K is up to 30 frames per second. The 4K capture formats are 4096×2160 and 3840×2160 at 23.98, 24, 25, 29.97 and 30. So a 4K 60 source is shown at 60 on the loop-through monitor, and the computer receives 4K at up to 30. At 1920×1080 capture goes up to 60 frames per second, and 2560×1440 is captured at 60.
The device can crop, scale up or down, de-interlace (turn an interlaced picture into full frames), change aspect ratio, convert colour format, convert frame rate, and flip or mirror the picture. This is FPGA-based processing with zero CPU usage. In plain terms, the conversion work is done inside the device, which frees your computer for the software you are running. Scaling makes the picture fit the size you ask for, using the detail in the source, so you can take a 4K source and hand your streaming software 1080p without changing anything at the source.
The USB Capture HDMI Plus also accepts a 4K input but captures at up to 2048×2160, and draws less power. The USB Capture HDMI 4K Pro is the next 4K model up; ask us which one suits your source. The whole family is on the USB Capture range page.

Up to 30 fps at 4096×2160 or 3840×2160. It accepts 4K at 60 fps on the HDMI input and passes it to the loop-through at 60, so the display is unaffected. At 1920×1080 capture goes up to 60 fps.
It is an HDMI output that passes the source on to a monitor or projector while the device captures, at up to 4096×2160 and 60 fps in 4:4:4. It saves buying a separate splitter.
