About this product
Small converters are handy until several of them end up loose on a rack tray with their cables pulling them about. Most Magewell encoders and decoders are small boxes with no rack ears, so this shelf and its mounting kits give them a proper home in a standard 19-inch equipment rack. The shelf takes up one rack unit (1RU). Each device is fixed to the shelf with a mounting kit made for its case shape, so it stays put when cables are plugged and unplugged.
Two shelf depths to suit your rack
- PAR10209, 120 mm deep. 483 × 45 × 121 mm (19 × 1.8 × 4.7 in).
- PAR10210, 250 mm deep. 483 × 45 × 251 mm (19 × 1.8 × 9.8 in).
Both are the same width and height, so you choose the depth that suits your rack: the shallower shelf for a shallow cabinet, the deeper one where you have the room.
The three mounting kits and what they fit
Each kit is shaped for a family of cases. Pick the kit that names your model:
- Ultra Encode Mounting Kit (ACC10011). Ultra Encode HDMI, Ultra Encode SDI, Ultra Encode HDMI Plus and Ultra Encode SDI Plus.
- Pro Convert TX Mounting Kit (ACC10012). Pro Convert HDMI TX, Pro Convert SDI TX, Pro Convert for NDI to HDMI, Pro Convert for NDI to AIO and Pro Convert for NDI to SDI.
- Pro Convert Plus Mounting Kit (ACC10013). Pro Convert HDMI 4K Plus, Pro Convert HDMI Plus, Pro Convert 12G SDI 4K Plus, Pro Convert SDI 4K Plus, Pro Convert SDI Plus and Pro Convert for NDI to HDMI 4K.
The Pro Convert for NDI to HDMI 4K uses the Plus kit, while the other NDI decoders use the TX kit.
The kits fit only the models named above. For any other model, such as the Ultra Encode AIO, the Pro Convert IP models, Ultra Stream or USB Capture devices, ask us before ordering.
What is in each kit
Every kit comes with its bracket and screws, so the parts that fix the device to the shelf arrive together.
- Ultra Encode kit. One Ultra Encode mounting bracket, two M3×5 countersunk screws and four M3×6 stainless steel knurled screws.
- Pro Convert TX kit. One Pro Convert TX mounting bracket, one D-ring ¼-inch mounting screw and four M3×6 stainless steel knurled screws.
- Pro Convert Plus kit. One Pro Convert Plus mounting bracket, one D-ring ¼-inch mounting screw and four M3×6 stainless steel knurled screws.
Lay the shelf out your way
- Fixed positions. The round holes in the shelf put a device in a set position.
- Adjustable positions. The rounded rectangular holes let you slide a device before tightening it, so you can make room for a connector or a cable.
- Mixed devices. Mix-and-match installations are supported, so encoders and decoders of different types can share a shelf, each on its own kit, instead of taking a shelf each.
Ordering
You need one shelf, plus one mounting kit of the right type for each device. Tell us the models and how many of each, and we will work out the parts, which saves you counting brackets.
